Stroll Down Bridge Street: A Celebration of Ashtabula’s Local Food
Ashtabula, OH — Bridge Street will come alive this season with the sights, sounds, and flavors of Ashtabula’s vibrant food culture. “Stroll Down Bridge Street” is a full-day celebration featuring local food, live music, family fun, and prizes.

The event will highlight Ashtabula’s thriving food scene with a farmers market, food trucks, vendors, and a day packed with cooking demonstrations at Harbor Gardens. Local chefs and food artisans will share their expertise, showing attendees how to make the most of seasonal produce and local ingredients.
Food lovers can dive into unique activities including a Tomato Tasting—featuring colorful heirloom varieties—and a Sourdough Bread Competition, open to both beginners and professionals. Freshly baked loaves will be judged on crust, crumb, and flavor, with plenty of tips shared along the way.

Families will enjoy a variety of activities, from goat petting to kids’ crafts, while live music sets the stage throughout the day. Shoppers can browse local vendors for artisan goods, farm-fresh products, and handmade crafts.

To make the day even more interactive, festival-goers are invited to “Stroll Down Bridge Street”—visiting vendors, tastings, and demos to collect stamps for the chance to win prizes, including local gift certificates and artisanal items.

“Ashtabula Local Food Festival is about more than food—it’s about community,” say event organizers. “We want people to come together, meet their farmers and makers, and celebrate everything that makes Ashtabula special.”

Bring your family, bring your appetite, and join us on Bridge Street for a day of discovery, flavor, and fun.

As part of the festival, here is a list of talks and demos at Harbor Gardens

1. Get a card: Go to an information booth at the vendor area near Carlisle Pavillion, at the Ashtabula Farmers’ Market or at Harbor Gardens and receive your Stroll Down Bridge Street Card. It has 10 spots for stamps.
2. Collect 10 stamps: Collect a stamp at vendors, markets, restaurants, shops, talks, cooking demos, goat petting, apple tasting (over 80 ways to receive a stamp)!
3. Turn in your completed card. Grand prize: a two-night stay in Harbor Gardens’ Air BnB with $100 Bridge Street Bucks. 2nd and 3rd prizes: $50 in Bridge Street Bucks (works like cash in any LBCA business). Drawing will be held at Harbor Gardens on Sunday between 4:30 – 4:45. Winners do not need to be present.

Collect stamps from restaurants, retail shops, vendors, demos, farmers’ market, talks, cooking demos as you go….and WIN! Bring completed cards to the information booth and enter to win fabulous prizes from local shops! There will be over 80 places to pick up a stamp – no purchase is necessary. Collect 10 and have a chance to win!

Join us for a day of fun and celebration of Ashtabula local food! There will be music, cooking demonstrations, talks about food and growing, goat, petting, apple tasting, tons of vendors and farmers market, pumpkin carving, honey sampling, all restaurants and businesses on Bridge Street will highlight a local food or product! There will be ample opportunities to win prizes! This event is free to enter and participate.

We had a blast last year and it was raining! We hope for better weather, but know that we will be celebrating either way!
